An Easter Thought

Starting with Adam, humanity has been made in the image of God. Adam was made to rule as God’s vice regent and obediently exercise his God given dominion (Genesis 1.26-28). He sinned and lost his dominion, and passed sin on to us: a perpetual falling short of God’s glory (Romans 8.23). When Jesus came, He became a servant of all humanity. Where Adam failed, Jesus was without sin (2 Corinthians 5.21). On the cross, Jesus sets us free from sin and with the empty grave Jesus imparts to all humanity a life that Adam never could (Romans 6.4.7).
