My comment is concerning Dustin's statement, "The assumption that the God of creation wants us to create, enjoy life and appreciate beauty in culture as a tool of missionality". I do believe that God desires for us to "enjoy life and appreciate beauty in culture" and that the world will notice that appreciation we have... but will they recognize that God is the reason for our enjoyment of life and appreciation of beauty in culture? Could we say the God of creation wants us to enjoy life in HIM and appreciate HIS beauty while participating deeply within the culture? Though the difference is slight and it does have a Christian Hedonistic aroma, what does it profit a non-believer to see that we appreciate beauty without them knowing WHY we appreciate the beauty or for WHOM we appreciate it? The same holds true in the secular workplace. How do I bring others to know the Lord of creation by being an honest, upright man if they did not associate my honesty or uprightness with the LORD whom I serve?
