The flow of this devotion represents the movement of salvation. In the opening we acknowledge our complete dependence on God for salvation. We remember, in the Scripture reading, the means of that process included the birth of Jesus as a baby. Then we flow into the effects of the gospel and witnessing in St. Aidan’s meditation prayer. As we are reminded of our Triune God, in the collect, we pray that the movement of salvation continues strong unto the day of glory!
